On a recent Friday morning in Pennsylvania, Washington County police took two people into custody. Several agencies and departments, including a SWAT team, drug task force and numerous police officers executed a warrant to search an East Maiden Street residence. The search was part of an undercover narcotics investigation that had been ongoing for several months. A 38-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman are now facing drug crimes charges.
Investigators say that their search of the residence led them to discover close to 2,000 stamp bags. A stamp bag is a small wax packet that is often used to package and sell heroin and other illicit drugs. In this case, the bags are said to have contained Fentanyl, heroin and Xylazine — a tranquilizer.
Several charges of drug crimes filed
The two individuals who were arrested in connection with the recent drug investigation are facing numerous criminal charges for drug crimes. These charges include possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance. Their arraignments will take place at the District Magistrate’s office.
When Pennsylvania police arrest two people regarding the same investigation, it does not necessarily mean both will be convicted or that the results of their cases will be the same. The state prosecutes each case separately, and there may be two vastly different outcomes. Relying on experienced defense support is the best way to achieve the most positive outcome possible when facing charges for drug crimes or other criminal offenses.
